The mission of the IACM is to actively represent the interests of the regulated color industry by demonstrating the safety of color additives, and to promote the industry's economic growth by actively participating in new color approvals and regulatory and legislative issues that affect the industry worldwide.Objectives
- Protect and expand the current approvals for color additives, both certified and exempt, in the US, Europe, Asia and elsewhere.
- Create and maintain public information and awareness of the safety and use of color additives.
- Serve as a central organization to participate in the development of official and unofficial analytical methods for color additives.
- Serve as a central organization to interact with U.S. and international regulatory bodies as well as with other international organizations on color additive matters.
- Encourage interaction on an international level in the Association.
